Every weekend, the Gozsdu Weekend Market electrifies the heart of Budapest’s party district with a vibrant street market vibe, bringing together eclectic treasures, from handcrafted wonders to antique gems. Located in Gozsdu Courtyard (Gozsdu Udvar)—one of the city’s hottest and most unique venues—this buzzing open-air fair welcomes visitors all year round.
Timetable & What’s On
From January to February 2025, the market is open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 10 AM to 5 PM. Starting March 1, it expands, running Fridays through Mondays, still from 10 AM to 5 PM. Each weekend, expect a dazzling mix of goods: retro gifts, vintage finds, handmade jewelry, designer pieces, and quirky art objects.
The Story Behind Budapest’s Beloved Street Market
Culture Flea (Kultúrzsibi) kicked off in 2012 right in the center of Budapest on Elizabeth Square (Erzsébet tér), debuting under the Akvárium Club’s roof. Quickly growing in popularity as an antique, retro, and contemporary flea market, Culture Flea later popped up at various iconic city locations—Museum Garden (Múzeumkert), Central Passage, WAMP, and Oktoberfest. After a whirlwind year on the move, it found its long-term home in Gozsdu Courtyard (Gozsdu Udvar) near Deák and Elizabeth Square (Erzsébet tér) in summer 2014, launching the now-famous Gozsdu Antique Vintage Market. In December, the market transforms into the festive Gozsdu Holiday Experience Courtyard.
Year-Round Surprises
Since 2016, Fridays have featured Jewelry Designland (Ék), a special showcase for jewelry and decorative objects running from spring through autumn. The GoArt! Gozsdu Art Market joined in 2017, adding even more design, art, and vintage wares to Sundays. Altogether, these events form the all-encompassing Gozsdu Weekend Market, evolving with the seasons—and swelling into a holiday celebration in December and January.
2025 Dates You Can’t Miss
The Gozsdu Weekend Market comes alive every weekend from June 27, 2025, to December 29, 2025. Mark your calendar, because whether you’re a bargain hunter or a design enthusiast, this is Budapest’s street market at its wildest. The organizers reserve the right to adjust dates and programs.
