Every year, as December comes to an end, Budapest hosts one of its liveliest holiday traditions: the MUSIC-WINE (ZENE-BOR) gala. On December 30, 2025, the world-famous 100 Member Gypsy Orchestra (100 Tagú Cigányzenekar) will hold its 29th season-closing gala concert in spectacular style.

For this two-part musical extravaganza, the ensemble blends virtuosic gypsy music, folk tunes, and beloved classical hits in arrangements you’ll only hear from these musicians. The night is filled with a dazzling sound, a hallmark of the 100 Member’s (100 Tagú) unique performance style.

Musical Fireworks and Operetta Stars

Traditionally, the orchestra brings fresh takes on favorites by Franz Lehár (Ferenc Lehár) and Emmerich Kálmán (Imre Kálmán), with beloved soloists from the Budapest Operetta Theater (Budapesti Operettszínház) taking the stage for show-stopping numbers. The evening’s grand finale, set to a fireworks display, features the iconic “Lark” (“Pacsirta”) and the rousing “Radetzky March,” all under the baton of maestro József Lendvai Csócsi.

Feast for the Senses – Gourmet Menus

Guests don’t just get music; they’re welcomed with a drink and can choose between a four-course gala dinner or a gourmet cold platter, each paired with top-tier Hungarian wines. Dinner highlights among VIP, I, and II categories include duck liver torchon with candied orange chutney and mangalica (Hungarian heritage pig) ham, guinea fowl consommé, bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin with gratin and forest mushroom sauce, and a pumpkin seed choux with raspberries for dessert (with artisan bread, butter, white, red, and rosé wine, mineral water, and coffee). Vegetarian options are available upon request.

Ticket Tiers and Prices

Prices range from $220 for balcony seats to $321, $399, $442, $490, and VIP tables at $642 per person. Cold platter options include mangalica ham, foie gras, gravlax, goat cheese tart, eggplant tartare, and artisan salad.

Doors open at 6:30pm, with dinner and the first set starting at 7pm. The evening promises unforgettable sights, sounds, and flavors in the heart of Budapest (Budapest).
