There’s a unique corner of the city where 13 different nationalities not only live but also play an active role in the community. The Brka Festival (Brka Fesztivál) celebrates this vibrant mix, showcasing Bulgarian, Roma, Greek, Croatian, Armenian, Polish, German, Romanian, Ruthenian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, and Ukrainian cultures all in one place.
All-Day Party on June 15
Now in its third year, the Brka Festival (Brka Fesztivál) lands on Sunday, June 15, promising a packed day that starts in the morning and goes well into the evening. Expect a family-friendly blend of kids’ activities, delicious food, live music, and craft workshops throughout the day.
Dancing, Singing, and a Free Ticket
Folk dance sessions will rotate on the main stage, with a women’s choir passing the mic to the Hét Hat Club (Hét Hat Klub), before Sándorég takes over. The lineup is truly diverse and the whole event is free—making it a can’t-miss celebration for anyone curious about the district’s lively heritage.
