From September 13–21, the Ars Sacra Festival transforms cities into hubs of art and spirituality with nine days and over 500 free programs. Culture lovers can enjoy performances and talks by renowned Hungarian artists, including János Lackfi, István Gyárfás, Dániel Gryllus, Vilmos Gryllus, György Ferenczy, Irén Lovász, Mária Petrás, and the acclaimed Pro Musica Girls’ Choir (Pro Musica Leánykar).
Open Temple Day Highlights
One of the festival’s most anticipated events is Open Temple Day. Churches across the country open their doors, welcoming visitors with spiritual and musical programs, meaningful conversations, and even pilgrimages. This unique occasion offers a rare opportunity to step inside sacred spaces and experience their atmosphere through art and reflection.
Architour: Sacred Spaces on Foot
Festivalgoers can also join special guided walks focused on sacred architecture, discovering stunning buildings and their stories up close. With its blend of free concerts, poetry readings, and guided tours, Ars Sacra turns September into a nine-day celebration of the soul.
