For the fourteenth year in a row, the Hungarian National Gallery (Magyar Nemzeti Galéria) is hosting its Wine Wednesday (Borszerda) event series every Wednesday this July. Kicking off on July 2 and continuing on July 9, 16, 23, and 30, the gallery will transform after hours into a hotspot for art lovers, offering a vibrant mix of experiences.
Wine, Art, and Good Vibes
Each evening offers something different, as themes are linked to the museum’s current temporary exhibitions. Visitors can look forward to special exhibitions, engaging guided tours, and live music filling the halls. The star of the nights, of course, is the wine: tastings will feature bottles from acclaimed local wineries such as the Abbey Winery of Pannonhalma (Pannonhalmi Apátság Pincészete), Borbély Family Winery (Borbély Családi Pincészet), Tibor Gál Winery (Gál Tibor Pincészet), Laposa Estate (Laposa Birtok), and Istvándy Winery (Istvándy Pincészet).
You don’t have to be a connoisseur to enjoy Wine Wednesday—just bring your curiosity and a taste for culture.
