Time to loosen your belts—GastroFok (GasztroFok) is back for another weekend of culinary madness in Siófok! On November 8–9, 2025, the lakeside town will transform into a giant tasting menu as its top restaurants, wineries, and food joints unite to showcase their best flavors. This marks the third year locals and tourists can eat their way from Beautiful Place (Széplak) to Salty Lake (Sóstó), Kiliti to Szabadi, sampling both old favorites and inventive new dishes.
A Culinary Road Trip Without Leaving Town
The concept is simple: Siófok’s best eateries, winemakers, chefs, and local producers come together to host a food festival spanning the entire city. Every participating venue creates a special menu just for the event—and this year’s selection promises everything from smoky barbecue and gourmet brunches to street food, Italian pizzas, Asian bites, and classic Hungarian (Magyar) comfort dishes. Among the highlights: gourmet breakfasts at After & Brunch and Café Maran; elegant wines from Horváth Winery of Aliga (Aligai Horváth Pince); rustic meals at Daddy’s World (Apa Világa); Italian feasts at Bella Italia, Pietro, and A Pinch of Naples (Egy Csipet Nápoly); rich Hungarian flavors at Old Fisherman (Öreg Halász) and Sanyi’s Corner (Sanyi Sarok); exotic rolls from Sushi Bar (Sushi Bár); and desserts at Dynasty Confectionery (Dinasztia Cukrászda). For families, HashtEgg Toyee Adventure Park keeps kids entertained with all kinds of activities.
Festival Fun and VIP Guests
This year’s GastroFok features extra star power with special guest patron Noel Fodor, Siófok’s young culinary prodigy and 2024 Bocuse d’Or “Most Beautiful Plate” winner. Special offers, surprise programs, live music, and family events will keep things buzzing throughout the weekend, with details on new menus, reservations, and event surprises posted on the city’s website and Siófok Guide (Siofokguide) Facebook page.
How to Join In and What’s New
With so many venues, the festival has arranged discounted GastroTaxi (GasztroTaxi) service to whisk foodies from one hotspot to the next. Advance booking is recommended—tables fill up fast! There’s even a spring edition in March, but November is when the full flavor fireworks happen. Mark your calendar, bring your appetite, and experience all the tastes Siófok has to offer in one exciting culinary weekend.
