After more than 150 years, the taps will finally flow at the old Haggenmacher Brewery (Haggenmacher Sörgyár), with a three-day festival from September 26 to 28, 2025. The event promises plenty for beer lovers and curious locals alike, celebrating the brewery’s rebirth in Budapest’s Art Quarter (Művészeti Negyed).
Bavarian Brass and Unique Brews
Visitors can enjoy performances by Bavarian brass bands, who will even jam together with contemporary musicians for some unexpected collaborations. Of course, brewery tours are available—perfect for those eager to get a behind-the-scenes look. The main highlight: the very first mugs filled by the new Haggenmacher Beer Manufactory (Haggenmacher Sörmanufaktúra).
Art, Food, and Beer Culture
You’ll find more than just beer here. There will be a range of culinary specialties to try, along with exhibitions and installations from the community of artists who have called the venue home since 2012. From the very first pour to creative projects, this relaunch combines Budapest’s brewing and artistic legacies.
