As autumn sets in, Balatonfüred (Balatonfüred) transforms into a vibrant festival hub for its annual Füred Harvest (Füredi Szüret), running October 10-12, 2025. This beloved multi-day harvest celebration puts the spotlight on the region’s famed wine culture, with events taking place along the lakeside Tagore Promenade (Tagore sétány) and Kisfaludy Stage (Kisfaludy színpad).
Parade, Wine Knights, and More
The highlight is the eye-catching harvest parade: wine knights in full regalia, stilt walkers, flag twirlers, local students, folk dancers, archers, drummers, hussars, and outlaws all make their way from St. Stephen Square (Szent István tér) to the Kisfaludy Stage. Along the route, you can enjoy tastings at pop-up wine stations. No Füred Harvest is complete without the traditional blessing of the grape bell and the flamboyant presentations of the wine knights’ orders.
Food, Music, and Crafts by the Lake
All weekend, the Tagore Promenade is alive with craft fairs, concerts, and a folk play park for families. Local food stalls and wine pavilions tempt visitors with autumn flavors and vintages, while a lively gastronomy courtyard offers even more culinary delights.
Who Will Be Balatonfüred’s Baking Master?
This year’s festival once again features the “Balatonfüred Baking Master” (Balatonfüred Sütimestere) competition, where bakers of all ages compete for the crown—and everyone gets to sample treats for a good cause.
Event dates and programs may change at the organizers’ discretion, so stay tuned for last-minute surprises!
