It’s finally happening – the first joint Harvest Parade (Szüreti Felvonulás) celebrates grapes and wine around St. George Hill (Szent György-hegy) on October 11, 2025. Locals from Hegymagas, Raposka, and Kisapáti are joining forces to bring everyone a day to remember. Meet at 11:00 AM at Hegymagas Market Square, then the parade sets off at noon. Join in at your own risk!

Kovács Guesthouse welcomes wine-loving guests year-round in Hegymagas. Their small, hands-on vineyard on St. George Hill (Szent György-hegy), part of the Badacsony region, covers just over 8 acres. Thanks to its size, they pay attention to every grape and promise only the best wine. Surprisingly for the area, they stand out with reds. Book a cellar tour and enjoy a two-hour tasting of their top six wines.

Several family wineries thrive on the southern slopes of St. George Hill (Szent György-hegy), cultivating about 50 acres and offering guesthouse lodging. Horváth Cellar (Horváth Pince) has welcomed wine lovers since 1996, farming nearly 44 acres with modern technology and traditional barrel aging. Nyári Cellar (Nyári Pince), just 656 feet from the Tarányi Cellar and Lengyel Chapel, boasts stunning views, bottled and table wines, and tastings by reservation.

The local wine shop (vinothèque) is open daily, all year round. From spring to autumn, the Viridárium kitchen welcomes foodies and wine tourists alike.
