On September 21, 2025, Small Rack Island (Ráckeve) will become a vibrant hub for hunters, fishermen, winemakers, anglers, and other local legends at the Autumn Aces Festival. The event, held on the Stephen Szegedi Promenade (Szegedi Kis István promenade), celebrates all things traditional and delicious, especially regional cuisine. Look forward to goulash cooking contests, a bustling wine market, wild game food showcases, a fishing competition, stage performances, artisan stalls, a pet show, and an open-air fair.
A Full Day of Festivities
Early birds can join the fishing competition starting at 7:00 AM. At 9:00 AM, the cooking and pastry contests begin. There’s an animal show at 10:00 AM, followed by the grand opening at 11:00 AM, featuring the Szigetcsép Surprise Dance Group (Szigetcsépi Überraschung Dance Group) and greetings from sister cities. The photo exhibition “Most Beautiful Balcony, Most Beautiful Garden” opens at 11:20 AM. Music, dance, local craft demonstrations, and kids’ activities fill the afternoon until the Catsby Band closes out the evening. Throughout the day: hands-on crafts, vintage vehicle rides, crochet workshops for kids and adults, and samplings from three traditional menus.
