Spend a day discovering how animals make us better—mentally, emotionally, and even physically. Animal-assisted therapy is all about trained animals working with professionals to support recovery, aid rehabilitation, enhance learning, and provide genuine emotional support. Just being near a furry, feathery, or scaly friend can bring feelings of calm, security, and motivation, and even encourage communication in people who struggle with it. Every session follows strict hygiene and safety protocols, so you get all the benefits without worry.

Dive Into the World of Animal Therapy
The program kicks off with an introduction to animal-assisted interventions, explaining where they can be used, who benefits most, and how different animals can be involved, along with the rules in healthcare. Expect in-depth sessions on the psychophysiological background—the fascinating science behind why animal therapy works.
One session will demonstrate how dog-assisted therapy helps adults with psychiatric and addiction issues. Curious about what a dog does in a children’s ward? See practical examples from pediatric departments. Love horses? Learn about equine therapy programs already effective in Hungary. Plus, get hands-on experience with smaller companion animals—rabbits, turtles, hedgehogs—used in therapy at the Mór Kaposi Teaching Hospital (Kaposi Mór Oktató Kórház) children’s psychiatric unit.
