The Saint Martin’s Day (Szent Márton) New Wine Festival is set to take over Bock Winery (Bock Pincészet) in Villány on November 8, 2025. This isn’t just another party—it’s the 21st anniversary of one of the most iconic events in the region. Since 1997, the winery has produced its famed Saint Martin’s wine (Szent Márton bor), and every year, festivities revolve around its newest vintage, exclusive tastings, and plenty to eat and drink.
Eat, Drink, and Party Under the Tent
The heated outdoor tent at Bock Courtyard (Bock Udvar) becomes the heart of the celebration, with live music from popular acts like Kacaj Band (Kacaj Zenekar), Ricsi Herczog (Herczog Ricsi), Vasovski Live, and Happiness Duo (Happiness Duó). Kicking off at 4:45 PM, the doors open and Happiness Duo takes the stage at 5 PM to set a festive tone. After a rousing welcome and the traditional wine blessing by József Bock (Bock József) at 6 PM, guests can enjoy onstage games, then tuck into a buffet dinner loaded with delicious goose specialties and unlimited new wine from 7 PM until 10 PM.
Exclusive tastings aren’t just for wine connoisseurs—this year, there’s a special premium wine tasting in the Bock Dome (Bock Borbarlang) at 8 PM, spotlighting the 2019 Franc Essence (Franc Essencia) and 2019 Merlot Special Reserve (Merlot Prémium Válogatás), with Ricsi Herczog providing the musical backdrop. The party goes on late, with live music, a tombola raffle at 9 PM, and good vibes until 1 AM.

What You Need to Know
It’s a standing reception, so no table reservations, but the Old Wine Restaurant (Óbor Étterem) area will be open for limited seating. Cold dishes start at 5 PM, hot ones at 7 PM, and food is available until 10 PM. The organizers reserve the right to tweak the program—and by joining the party, you agree to being in event photos.
