Füzér Castle (Füzéri vár) is a unique spot where history and nature come alive together—open every day of the year to anyone who wants to explore its dramatic past in a setting that’s just as awe-inspiring. The lovingly rebuilt “living castle” offers experiences for all ages: have medieval diplomas printed on laid paper and sealed with wax, check out exhibitions illuminating castle life and days gone by, join free guided tours that start every hour, catch fascinating film screenings, and soak in those jaw-dropping panoramic views over the Zemplén landscape. It’s packed with photogenic spots and plenty of chances to make lifelong memories.

Kormorán Mega Concert – Only Here, Only Once

On October 24, Füzér’s event space goes all out with “The Falcons – KORMORÁN At Its Best.” This is the only place in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County where you’ll hear all-time Kormorán hits performed by the most authentic musicians—including founding members. Their music is more than just sound—it’s woven with messages, history, and a sense of unity.

Doors open at 3:00 PM; celebrate the 20th anniversary of RADAR with their concert at 4:00 PM. Headlining at 5:30 PM, “A Sólymok” (“The Falcons”) bring Kormorán’s greatest hits to life. Advance tickets are only $5.40 for adults and $4.05 for students, available at the local council building until October 22, or $6.76 (adults) and $5.40 (students) on site—the supply is limited, so grab them early! Bring your friends and get ready for an unforgettable night.

Free Guided Tours and Special Worship Events

All October, take part in Füzér Castle’s free, interactive guided tours. Tours start at set times in the Upper Castle, and spots are first come, first served during opening hours—with plenty of times available on both weekdays and weekends (10:30 AM, 12:30 PM, 2:30 PM, 4:15 PM, with extra slots on weekends).

On November 7, mark the Day of Reformation with a festive ecumenical church service in the beautifully rebuilt Castle Chapel—restored in 2020 for sacred use and special moments, such as weddings and baptisms—open to all visitors and locals alike.

2025, adrienne
