Szeged is gearing up for an epic Halloween in 2025, with a marathon of spooky fun stretching over multiple days and locations. Things kick off on October 25 with the “TÖKéletes Hétvége” (Pumpkin-perfect Weekend), setting a festive mood across the city until late on October 26.
Sweet Treats and Creepy Walks
The highlight for kids takes place on October 26 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., when Szeged’s Petőfi-telep hosts a candy-collecting parade. Local children and families are invited to show off their costumes and scoop up candy on Szántó Kovács János Street. Expect laughter, sugar rushes, and plenty of skeletons roaming the night.
For the Little Monsters
On October 30, the Somogyi Library’s Dorozsmai branch is putting on a free Halloween-themed story afternoon for preschoolers and early elementary school kids—perfect for younger trick-or-treaters who prefer fairy-tale frights over ghosts and ghouls.
Wild and Wicked
Don’t miss Halloween at the Vadaspark (Zoo) on October 31, and get ready for one more monster bash: the Halloween Party at the Dorozsmai Petőfi Sándor Community Center on November 8. There are 57 separate Halloween events—good luck making it through them all!
