Back Together, Bolder Than Ever

Intimate new theater by Emőke Kiss-Végh and Tamás Ördög: “let’s go to Japan with the kids” blends travel, parenting, and partnership into raw, honest performance. Two-night premiere, main stage.
when: 2025. November 14., Friday - 2025. November 15., Saturday
where: Hungary, Trafó

After years apart, Emőke Kiss-Végh and Tamás Ördög, founders of Children of Dollar Papa (Dollár Papa Gyermekei), are creating together again. This summer they headed to Japan for an artist residency, then turned those experiences into a new piece with bite and heart. Titled “let’s go to Japan with the kids,” it’s their most personal work yet—part lecture, part confession, part reckoning.

Japan Trip Turned Into Theater

The duo mined their residency days for stories, textures, and restless questions, folding travel impressions into raw stage intimacy. Expect the nerves of starting over, the mess of parenting and partnership, and the awkward beauty of being outsiders—served with their signature, disarming honesty.

Premiere and a Quick Return

“let’s go to Japan with the kids” premieres on November 14, then returns the very next day on the main stage. It’s a two-night snapshot of artists who traded distance for risk, pulling the audience into a live scrapbook of what they saw, what they felt, and what changed.
