What’s Baking
The Túrkeve Cake and Pastry Festival (Túrkevei Torta és Sütemény Fesztivál) fires up on November 15 with three categories: Traditional Cake; Covered Cake; Homemade Pastries, sweet and savory. Registration for contestants starts at 7:00 (deadline November 7); finished creations must be submitted upon arrival. Judging kicks off at 8:30, public entry at 9:00, official opening at 10:00.
Festive Fun, Serious Sugar
From 11:00, Christmas warm-up workshops: gingerbread decorating, crafts, and no-bake sweets. Cast your audience vote until 13:00. At the venue you can buy Ildikó Farkasinszki’s newest book, Grilled Desserts (Grilldesszertek), with on-site signing.
