Veszprém’s renewed castle quarter is rolling out stacked weekends this November, with guided “Castle Walks” and themed tours taking visitors into the beating heart of a thousand years of history. On November 15, 16, 22, 23, and 29, guided Castle Walks run at 11:30, 14:00, and 16:00. On November 30, tours set off at 14:00 and 16:00. Two themed routes anchor the offer: “The Walk of Light and Devotion” opens the Archiepiscopal Palace and the Gizella Chapel, while “A Thousand Years’ Journey” threads through the Cathedral, its crypt, and St. George’s Chapel. Saturday–Sunday timings: Light and Devotion at 11:30 and 16:00; A Thousand Years’ Journey at 14:00. Location: Veszprém.

Exhibitions, tales, film, and field notes

From November 6–29, “Veszprém Images at the Turn of the 19th–20th Centuries” fills the Eötvös Károly Library’s Small Gallery. On November 14, “Battle of Myths in Veszprém” brings live storytelling for adults, while “Who Am I – Everything About Cartoons” unpacks animation. November 15 screens the animated classic Szaffi (Saffi) as part of the 11th National Cartoon Festival, and “Peru – As We Saw It” offers a slideshow journey through the visible and invisible Peru. Also on November 15: an air-raid shelter walk and a historical ramble in Monasteries and Gardens, plus castle-view strolls.

Clubs, games, and language

The “Your Voice Counts!” youth workshop tour lands November 17. French Club meets November 18, alongside a board game afternoon at the American Corner, Eötvös Károly Library. Conversation Club returns November 20. November 25 features a spelling bee contest and a public “Spelling Bee!” at the same venue. The tiniest readers get “Dog Therapy for the Very, Very Smallest” on November 26. Thanksgiving is marked November 27. The family-friendly “Kids’ Corner” pops up November 22.
