Veres 1 Színház launches a fresh staging of Agatha Christie’s The Murder of Roger Ackroyd in 2025 under director Kornél Simon, keeping the style classic but shaking up the cast. Dénes Száraz plays loyal friend Hector Blunt, while P. Szilveszter Szabó debuts with the company as Dr. James Sheppard, the doctor who aids the investigation. The legendary “short, mustached Belgian,” Hercule Poirot, is portrayed by Africa-born Artúr Kálid, giving the icon a bold new edge.
