Family Shabbat Fun Returns To Zsilip

Family Shabbat fun returns to Zsilip Budapest: Péntekecske Friday Nights and Zsiliputi Jewish Sunday School for ages 4–14. Learn, play, celebrate traditions with Rabbi Glitzi. Inclusive, engaging, memorable.
when: 2025.11.21., Friday
where: 1137 Budapest, Újpesti rakpart 1.

Budapest families are invited to kick off Shabbat with Péntekecske (Little Friday) Friday Night, a cozy mini–Shabbat welcome split between adults and kids. While grown-ups catch Rabbi Glitzi’s teaching in the synagogue, children dive into a playful session led by a madricha in the Zsiliputi playhouse. The program covers the weekly Torah portion, Shabbat, and current holidays with pictures, stories, and games. Listen well, win a gift; there’s even a raffle. Bring the whole crew and learn together on Shabbos.

Friday Nights: November 21 and 28, 2025

On both dates, the Zsilip team repeats the family-friendly format: adults deepen their knowledge with Rabbi Glitzi, and kids explore tradition hands-on nearby. It’s relaxed, welcoming, and designed to keep every age engaged. Location: Budapest.
