Get your spot early for one of the Danube Bend’s most exciting family programs: the Visegrád Knight Games and Feast, running every Saturday through autumn in Visegrád. Hosted by the Renaissance Restaurant, the show whisks you straight back to the 14th century with steel, spectacle, and a feast fit for royalty.
Be Crowned, Cheer, and Duel (Almost)
Members of the Order of Saint George stage a dramatic tournament, recreating how knights fought for the favor of the king and queen in medieval Visegrád. Right at the start, the knights choose a king and a queen from the audience, robe and crown them, then parade in to prove their skills in archery and combat before the royal couple and guests. The duels are realistic, thrilling, and often funny, celebrating the courage and audacity of medieval warriors, with a royal hunting falcon taking flight to top it off. At the finale, guests can try out period weapons with the knights’ guidance.
