Veszprém’s Archdiocese lines up a festive close to 2025 and a thoughtful start to 2026, with guided castle walks, sacred spaces, and music across multiple venues. Expect exhibitions, concerts, family and children’s programs, guided tours, thematic walks, talks, red-letter and holiday events, plus church celebrations through the Castle District’s (Várnegyed) Baroque heart.
Guided Castle Walks: 2025.12.27–12.28
On Saturday and Sunday, guided Castle Walks (Várséták) depart at 11:30, 14:00, and 16:00 from the Biró–Giczey House, the Veszprém Castle District’s Baroque jewel with a garden, gift shop, and exhibitions. Two themed routes run both days:
– The Walk of Light and Devotion: Archbishop’s Palace + Gizella Chapel at 11:30 and 16:00
– A Thousand Years’ Journey: Cathedral + crypt + St. George’s Chapel at 14:00

Marriage Prep Course: 2026.02.06–03.13
Fridays in February and March bring a Marriage Preparation Course (Jegyeskurzus) in Veszprém, at Padányi School, 6 Szeghlety J. Street, on 2026.02.06, 02.13, 02.20, 02.27, 03.06, and 03.13. The course helps couples prepare for marriage and family life with sessions on:
– The spirituality of marriage
– The family we come from
– Relationship communication and conflict management
– Intimacy in marriage
– Male–female differences and common pitfalls

Holiday Concert: 2025.12.27
Festive Harmonies (Ünnepi harmóniák) brings Ádám Tabajdi, István Horváth, and the Harmonia Chamber Ensemble to the stage for a celebratory performance. It’s a warm, year-end musical bow in the Archdiocese’s seasonal lineup.
