Pageantry, duels, and a falcon
Members of the Order of Saint George stage a full-fledged medieval tournament, showing how warriors fought for the king’s and queen’s favor in old Visegrád. It kicks off by choosing a king and queen from the crowd, dressing them in royal cloaks, and crowning them. On the king’s cue, armored knights parade in and prove their aim and combat prowess with period weapons before the royal couple and guests. Duels are realistic, exciting, and often witty, celebrating the courage and audacity of medieval knights. A royal hunting falcon takes flight to spice up the show. Afterward, guests can try out the medieval weapons with the knights’ help.
