Between February 16–22, 2026, Budapest once again hosts Hungary–Africa Week, a seven-day series of programs connecting key players from business, government, education, and civil society across Hungary and Africa. This year’s spotlight is on health, while the economy, education, international development, and culture also take center stage. The main venues are the Danubius Hotel Hungaria and Hungexpo, with multiple formats designed to spark partnerships and real-world projects.
Why it matters
The third edition offers a rare platform for entrepreneurs, investors, companies, NGOs, and universities focused on Hungary–Africa relations. With Africa’s fast-growing, multimillion-strong consumer markets, a middle class seeking European-quality products and services, and untapped natural and human resources, the week aims to turn interest into action. Beyond dealmaking and market entry, it highlights the diplomatic, cultural, development, and humanitarian dimensions that shape sustainable cooperation.
Health in the spotlight
The event’s core theme is health as a pillar of development. Across conferences, lectures, workshops, and B2B sessions, participants will share knowledge, explore innovation, and build alliances that can scale. Organizers present the week as a meeting point where economic, educational, healthcare, and civil actors exchange experience, forge ties, and showcase practical solutions. The bet: that dialogue and hands-on encounters can anchor long-term, resilient partnerships.

Building the bridge

With conferences, expert talks, workshops, B2B meetings, and cultural showcases, the objective is clear: strengthen ties and lay the groundwork for long-term, sustainable cooperation that outlasts any single event.
