Children’s programs land in Siófok with a full slate of festive kids’ shows, workshops, concerts, and festivals all year on Lake Balaton’s sunny south shore. Expect a whirlwind of stories and play, pirate sailing, children’s theater, and indoor playhouses welcoming little ones and big kids alike across multiple venues from December 29, 2025 to February 8, 2026. Fairy Tales on Stage
On Monday, January 19 at 10:00 and 14:00, the Fellegjárók Társulat brings Lázár Ervin’s A hétfejű tündér (The Seven-Headed Fairy) to life as a 60-minute musical tale at the Kálmán Imre Cultural Center theater in Siófok, part of the Kisvakond pass. The magic continues Tuesday, January 20 at 10:00 with another 60-minute performance under the Kisvakond II pass, same venue. Expect enchanting staging, songs, and a brisk, kid-friendly runtime.
Culture Day: Winter-Chasing Traditions
On Monday, January 19 at 13:30 and 16:30, the BRTK Library children’s section hosts Télűzés with Viktória Takács, an interactive author-reader meetup for the Day of Hungarian Culture. Through two standout books, kids dive into the roots of Hungary’s winter-chasing customs in a playful format. Groups are welcome; it’s hands-on, story-rich, and tailored for curious minds.
Build a Puppet Storytown
Bábos Mesefalva arrives at the BRTK Library children’s section, 8600 Siófok, Fő tér 2, on Wednesday, January 28 and Thursday, January 29, 09:00–15:00. Over 1.5–2 hours, children craft a handmade, tech-leaning village, then co-create the unfolding tale as their favorite characters move into the towns they’ve built. It’s collaborative, creative, and perfect for kindergarten and primary school groups.
Farsang Fever: Music, Masks, and Mischief
On Friday, January 30 at 10:30 and 16:30, Géza Áprily’s interactive, musical carnival show Itt a farsang, áll a bál lights up the BRTK Library children’s section. Admission is free. From 15:00–17:00 the same day, the Farsangi Buli takes over the children’s section—arrive in costume for a small library surprise; entry is free. Address: 8600 Siófok, Fő tér 2.
High-Seas Adventure: Rumini
On Saturday, January 31 at 10:30, the Pesti Művész Színház stages Rumini Ferrit-szigeten (Rumini on Ferrite Island), a two-part musical tale at the Kálmán Imre Cultural Center. The beloved sailor mouse and crew face the deadly snare of Ferrite Island’s wicked mistress, escaping only through cunning, ingenuity, and brave self-sacrifice. Recommended from age four. Cast features Mátyás Kovács/Kristóf Uwe Berecz as Rumini, Kristóf Vajda/Gergő Fogarassy as Balikó, Viki Pászthy/Zsófi Gergelyfy as Csincsili, Roland Öller/Marci Budai as the Captain, and more. Skates, Snow Tubes, and a Giant Wheel
From December 29, 2025 to February 8, 2026, the Great Beach (Nagystrand) hosts a winter playground: ice rink, straw maze, snow-tube track, giant Ferris wheel, bumper cars, and a play zone. Later in spring, circle April 5 for the 9th #hashtEGG Egg and Bunny Run in Siófok, with more offers rolling toward May 31.
