Siófok keeps families busy all year with a packed calendar of children’s programs on the south shore of Lake Balaton. Expect puppet villages, interactive story workshops, carnival parties, kids’ concerts, theater shows, a winter ice rink with extras, and a spring egg-and-bunny run, all sprinkled across beloved venues like the BRTK Library, the Imre Kálmán Cultural Center (Kálmán Imre Kulturális Központ), and the city’s Grand Beach (Nagystrand). Build a Puppet Village

Bábos Mesefalva is a hands-on story workshop for preschoolers and primary schoolers where kids collectively build a “Puppet Fairy Village” and populate its tiny towns with their favorite characters. Each session lasts 1.5–2 hours, blending craft and basic tech tasks as the group shapes the tale while constructing the village. It’s collaborative storytelling that grows with every glued roof and painted door.
Carnival Music and Library Party

Géza Áprily brings Itt a farsang, áll a bál, an interactive, music-driven carnival show at 10:30 and 16:30. It’s free to join and tailored for kids to clap along, sing, and ride the festive vibe.
Also on January 30, from 15:00 to 17:00, the library throws Farsangi Buli 2026—a full-on costume party in the children’s section. Arrive in costume for a small library surprise. Free entry; all are welcome at Fő tér 2.
Rumini Sails to Ferrit Island

Rumini Ferrit-szigeten (Rumini on Ferrit Island) is a two-part musical fairy tale by the Pesti Művész Theatre (Pesti Művész Színház). The beloved seafaring mouse Rumini and friends tumble into peril on Ferrit Island, ruled by a sinister lady whose trap is deadly unless wit, ingenuity, and selfless courage save the day. The Vaskakas Puppet Theatre’s Szomorú királykisasszony is a 50-minute puppet fairy tale within the Little Mole (Kisvakond) pass. The king’s only daughter is dangerously gloomy—no smile has crossed her face in forever. A call goes out: come jokers, bold goatherds, blundering heroes, or cheeky tricksters. Anyone who makes her laugh wins her hand and half the kingdom. All attempts fail until a mysterious shepherd appears with a golden-fleeced lamb.
