Marriage Prep Course in Veszprém
A practical, faith-based course helps couples prepare for marriage and family life over several Friday sessions. Venue: Veszprém, Padányi School, 6 Szeghlety J. Street. Topics include the spirituality of marriage; the families we come from; communication and conflict resolution; intimacy in marriage; male–female differences and common pitfalls; and parenting and family life.
Dates: 2026.02.06., 2026.02.13., 2026.02.20., 2026.02.27., 2026.03.06., 2026.03.13. Each evening builds on the last, with space to talk, reflect, and plan real-life next steps together.
Charity Ball in Sümeg
On 2026.02.13., the 4th Archdiocesan Caritas Ball of Veszprém lights up Hotel Kapitány in Sümeg to support families in crisis. Reception opens at 18:00, welcome at 19:00. The ball’s patrons are Archbishop György Udvardy of Veszprém and Imre Polgárdy, Chair of the Veszprém County Assembly. Expect welcome remarks, a gala dinner, live music by the Gin-Tonic Band, the show “Sümegi randevú” by Zoltán Miller and Bernadett Vágó, and a raffle with valuable prizes.
Tickets: 16,000 HUF/person (about 44 USD), 12,000 HUF/child ages 4–14 (about 33 USD). Dress up, dance, and make a difference.
Valentine’s Day: Sealed With Love
On 2026.02.14. at 17:00, married couples are warmly invited to The Celebration of Marriage (A Házasság Ünnepe) at 8200 Veszprém, 20 Vár Street, in the Grand Seminary building. Arrival from 16:30. The evening program, Sealed With Love (Borítékolható szerelem), weaves confessions, letters, and iconic songs about love. Performers Erika Náray and Krisztián Nyáry read and reflect on the correspondence of famous couples. Admission is free; registration required—save your spot and bring your hearts.
Biblical Role-Play for Kids
A returning favorite for families: biblical role-play sessions designed to boost social skills and emotional intelligence for children ages 7–10. Part of Marriage Week (Házasság Hete), a special couples’ wine evening sets a mellow tone for conversation and connection. Venue: Gizella Hotel and Restaurant, Veszprém, 48 Jókai Mór Street—an elegant, welcoming space perfect for lingering over a glass. Date and time: 2026.02.11. at 18:00. The event is free but requires registration due to limited seating.
