March 12, 2026 (Thursday) – March 29, 2026 (Sunday), across multiple cities and venues, DiningCity rolls out the 29th National Restaurant Week, serving up three-course menus from just $19 with service included. More than 200 top Hungarian restaurants will showcase their best dishes over 18 days, turning fine dining into a steal.
Top-tier spots start at $19, premium venues from $25, and exclusive houses from $30, all inclusive of service. Some participants will widen their choices even further for a modest surcharge. Among the 200+ dining rooms, many rank in Hungary’s Top 100 lists, with 15 Michelin-recommended names on board, including Bib Gourmand winners. Every restaurant is putting forward signature and standout plates at fixed, wallet-friendly prices.
Expect rare and exciting ingredients alongside local classics. Beyond Hungarian Grey cattle, menus may feature Namibian zebu, mouflon, marrow bones, rabbit leg, pig’s ear, or Burgundy snails. Seafood stays center stage too: lobster, tiger prawn, yellowtail kingfish, bluefin tuna steak, and even frog legs. Traditional indulgences won’t be missing either—look for truffles in many guises, duck liver, and steak tartare. As always, restaurants are prepared for special diets with a representative variety: gluten-free, lactose-free, sugar-free, vegetarian, and vegan courses will be easy to find.
Fans of global flavors can book everything from Lebanese, Indian, Japanese, Georgian, Mexican, and Moroccan kitchens to true-blue Hungarian dining rooms. Fusion menus are well represented too, alongside offerings rooted in Hungarian, French, American, Italian, Mexican, and Asian traditions.
