A lakeside tradition with a twist is back: the 7th Boglart Festival lands on the shores of Lake Balaton from August 26–30, 2026, at Babel Camp, 8630 Balatonboglár, Szabadság Street (Szabadság utca) 28. It’s part folk/world music festival, part intensive course, part music industry forum and showcase. Days are for learning, evenings split between two stages, and nights stretch into dawn with dancing in the folkkocsma.
Festival + Camp Energy
Boglart blends hands-on workshops with concerts, turning a summer week into a creative lab and communal experience. It’s a rare hybrid in the Hungarian and international scenes, where study, music, and Balaton summer fall into step.
Lineup Highlights
Freshly announced: Belgium’s Enara Navaira, Senegal’s Afrikora, Istria’s Veja, plus Hungarian acts Okos Viola, Obadu, and resident hosts Góbé. Many performers double as daytime teachers, covering everything from Moldavian and string-band folk techniques to music industry know-how in workshops.
Nights That Don’t Quit
Concert evenings flow into a táncház, then a world music–electronic afterglow. Following last year’s buzz, the showcase block returns, bringing Hungarian and international professionals together to connect and collaborate.
Tickets, Deals, Access
First artist announcements arrive in the second half of November. Until then, festival passes, combo passes, 48-hour tickets, and day tickets are offered at very low prices. Discounted tickets are now available for under-18s, over-64s, and teachers. If you’re joining the course or showcase and qualify for discounts, combine discounted festival passes/day tickets with course passes/day tickets for the best value. Free entry for children under 10.
