Ajka’s Nagy László City Cultural Center and Library is rolling out a packed 2026 lineup at 8400, Szabadság Square (Szabadság tér) 13, mixing exhibitions, concerts, theater, comedy, crafts, and hobby programs with author evenings and literary guests. The season opens on February 24 with Kellemes húsvéti ünnepeket! (Happy Easter!) comedy, followed by Állatok farsangja másként (Carnival of the Animals, differently) on February 25.

Talks, Wellness, and Big Ideas

The In Search of the Secrets of the Blue Zones (A Kék Zónák titkai nyomában) series explores brain and nerve protection, the gut-brain axis, the microbiome, and thought on February 26; When the “I” Disappears in the “We” on March 5; and Secrets of a Strong Immune System on March 11. Psychologist Noémi Orvos-Tóth breaks down How to Break Inherited Family Patterns on March 20, while Dr. Kitti Almási’s Unfinished Threads lands on April 27. The Knowledge Crumbs (Tudásmorzsák) talks decode Everyday Hassles with Ibolya Görög on May 21, and Generational Differences with Krisztián Steigervald on October 7.

Theater, Music, and Laughter

Women’s Day brings Play On Till Dawn (Húzzad csak, kivilágos virradatig) by Pesti Művész Színház on March 6. Robin Hawdon’s One Too Many Lovers (Szeretőből egy is sok) hits on March 12. Singer Andrea Szulák’s Big Encounter concert shines on March 25. Kids can bounce to Brandnyúl mini disco on April 2; tickets are $8.30 on jegy.hu or at the Information Center; free for children under age 2 on a parent’s lap. Comedian Péter Elek’s Can I Be Honest? arrives on March 19; Tibor Bödőcs’s From Here We Just Roll—with guest Edu Tóth—on April 22. Theater fans get Killer Wedding Night (HULLAJÓ NÁSZÉJSZAKA) by HeArt Társulat on May 9, and We Musical Souls… (Mi muzsikus lelkek…) on April 29.
