when: 2026. March 9., Monday

Parents, grandparents, and babies are getting a weekly dose of live music and play in Balatonfüred. Every Wednesday at 9:15 a.m., the Lipták Gábor Városi Könyvtár (Lipták Gábor City Library) at 8230 Balatonfüred, Kossuth Lajos St. 35, hosts Ringató—warm, music-led sessions for families with little ones aged 0–3. Enter through the small left-hand gate, then the side terrace door. All are warmly welcome.

What to expect

It’s all about shared singing, playful movement, laughter, and a colorful lineup of instruments. The vibe is cozy and lively: grown-ups and babies sing together, clap, sway, and explore rhythm and melody in an intimate, welcoming space. Expect live singing, hands-on instrument fun, and a laid-back community feel.

Why it matters

Regular Ringató sessions help nurture a strong parent–child bond through lap games and close musical interaction. Children meet their own musical mother tongue and are surrounded by a rich repertoire of quality songs and live music-making. It’s often their first community experience—safely anchored by a parent. Musical skills blossom, and with them come benefits for emotional intelligence and cognitive development—memory, attention, imagination, creativity—plus speech and motor growth. Parents share the joy of singing together and take home something that lasts a lifetime: a love of music.

Who leads it

Sessions are led by certified Ringató instructor Rita Rábaközi, known for her gentle, engaging approach and the trademark Ringató methodology.

Cons
