From March 6, 2026, the world’s leading traveling space exhibition, Life in Space, takes over Etele Plaza at Hadak útja 1 in Budapest’s Újbuda (New Buda) district. It’s in town for just three months, and tickets are available online. The show has already wowed more than 4 million visitors worldwide, and now it’s bringing the cosmos—VR, simulators, iconic spacecraft gear, and a full space station experience—to Hungary’s capital.
Visitors can explore the interior of the International Space Station in a stunning VR tour, then take command as a space shuttle captain or strap into the hot seat as an F-18 fighter pilot. The Multi-Axis Trainer delivers that disorienting spin astronauts train for, recreating the tumbling sensation of space. There’s a full-scale reconstruction of the ISS cupola window, a lunar rover, a command cockpit, and an entire space station setup—plus surprises at every turn.
The exhibition’s partners read like a who’s who of space exploration: NASA, ESA, the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, ALTEC, ASI, and Space Camp. Their combined expertise powers the authentic hardware, faithful reconstructions, and hands-on training systems on display.
