Pros
+
Super family-friendly with Paár Julcsi's fairy-tale comedy show that's perfect for kids on Nov 22
+
Awesome variety of events from folk dance and brass bands to theater, keeping everyone entertained
+
Boban Marković Orkestar brings international Balkan brass vibes that US fans of world music will dig
+
Easy train ride from Budapest, about 1.5-2 hours on comfy Hungarian rails
+
Renting a car? Smooth highways make it a quick 1-hour drive from the capital
+
Intimate venues like cultural centers mean no huge crowds, just chill cultural immersion
+
Affordable for a U.S. tourist – tickets won't break the bank like big festivals back home
Cons
Komárom-Komárno's a hidden gem border town, not on most foreign radars like Budapest or Prague
Heavy on Hungarian language for talks, plays, and lyrics – you'll need basics or miss nuances
Niche folk/cultural fest, less hyped internationally than say, New Orleans Jazz Fest or Irish trad fests
November chill could dampen the mood, even if most events are indoors
