Relatives (Rokonok) – Two-Act Play (March 31)
Hevesi SĂĄndor VĂĄrszĂnhĂĄz brings this powerhouse of Hungarian literature to the stage on March 31 at 7 p.m. It’s the fourth show in the 2025/2026 Festetics season subscription: tickets for the four-show package are $61 or $72; single seats $18 or $21. Philosophers and clowns Pierrot (Ăcs TamĂĄs) and Prigozsin (Formanek Csaba) push artistic limits to touch souls, but lack their third member to provide meaning. Inspired by François Truffaut’s Jules and Jim, incorporating Ăcs’s ideas; written and directed by Formanek. Little Singers Japanese Children’s Choir Concert (April 2)
Catch this special free treat at Balaton SzĂnhĂĄz’s main hall on April 2 at 5 p.m. The choir from Hyogo, Japan, formed in 1990, blends Japanese and European choral worlds with diverse songs. Around 90 kids aged 4â21 in child, junior, and senior groups sing Renaissance masters like Palestrina and Lassus, modern works, Japanese composers Michio Mamiya and Roe Ogura, plus folk and children’s tunes. They’ve toured Korea and the USA since the 1990s, Europe from 1996, hosted global choirs, and built 30-year ties with Keszthely’s Ăletfa ĂltalĂĄnos Ă©s AlapfokĂș MƱvĂ©szeti Iskola through music exchanges.
