Trained divers with scuba certifications plunge weekly into the massive 1.4-million-liter (about 47 million oz), 13-foot-deep saltwater tank at 70-73°F. They hand-feed the predators, including Hungary’s only shark-tailed guitar ray (cápafarkú gitárrája), dishing out 26-33 pounds of fresh sea fish per session. Grab a comfy spot by the huge aquarium glass, relax to some music, and marvel at the animals’ majestic swims, twitches, and play.

Most shark species rarely hunt in packs, but sand tiger sharks often hang out with their own kind—dozens might cluster around shipwrecks or cave entrances. They gulp air at the surface to store in their stomachs, controlling their buoyancy like pros. Their long snouts, icy stares, and dagger-like teeth make them look terrifying, fooling people into thinking they’re killers. Despite a lack of proof, they’ve been blamed for numerous attacks, sparking brutal hunts that wiped them out in some areas off southeastern Australia.
