March to April Kickoff
Kick things off from March 15 to April 26 with the Tengerre Magyar! (Hungarians to the Sea!) traveling exhibit at Kérész Eco- and Active Tourism Center. April 2-12 features Dino Park Tiszafüred during Easter break. On April 10, the Bring Grandma and Grandpa to the Museum! family experience tour takes place at Nyúzó Gáspár Fazekas Country House. April 11-12 brings Nature Tudorka round IV there too. Catch Jean-Pierre Grédy & Pierre Barillet’s A kaktusz virága (Cactus Flower) comedy on April 17, the same day as Kérész Activity at the center. April 25 packs in Country Houses Day with the Be a Potter! family craft day and community garden build at the Fazekas house, plus a dance house at Tisza Lake AMI Headquarters, and the U7/U9 soccer cup. That weekend, April 25-26, Nature Tudorka round V returns to Kérész Center.
May’s Action-Packed Lineup
May 1 doubles up with City May Day and Dog May Day festivities, alongside the Be an Archaeologist! volunteer community dig at Tiszaörvény’s Church Hill and Morotva riverside. The SUP Hungarian Cup round II paddles in on May 3. May 7 features Harlekin Puppet Theater’s A bőgős fia és az ördögök (The Bagpiper’s Son and the Devils), Wonders Terrarium, and a Japanese sword exhibit/demo. Quiz night lights up Kérész Center on May 8, followed by crafts at Míves Műhely on May 9. That day also hosts the Borsodchem Tour de Lake Tisza (Tisza-tó) at Halas Square, Alfa Romeo Club Hungary’s Selénia Rally at Tisza Balneum Hotel, and the full Tour de Lake Tisza (Tisza-tó) bike challenge—pedal around Hungary’s second-largest lake yourself! May 15 repeats the archaeologist program at Tiszaörvény sites, May 22 brings back Kérész Activity, and May 22-23 rocks with Made in Hungária at Fényi Gyula Jesuit Gymnasium.
