Pros
+
Super family-friendly with customizable 2- or 3-course menus offering veggie options, kid-pleasing calzones, and fun desserts that everyone can pick from
+
Smack in Budapest's lively Erzsébetváros district on Dohány Street, a hotspot near the Jewish Quarter that's familiar to many foreign visitors exploring the city center
+
No Hungarian language skills required at all – it's a tourist-friendly spot with simple English-friendly menus and central location
+
Dead easy to reach by public transport like metro (Astoria station nearby) or trams, or drive and validate parking with your bill right at reception
+
Incredible value for a U.S. tourist at $19-23 per person including drinks and coffee, way cheaper than similar brunch spots back home in NYC or LA
+
Weekly changing fresh menus with diverse choices like soups, international mains (Caesar salad, cod), and heavenly desserts beat out rigid Sunday roasts in the UK or basic U.S. diners
+
Perfect for relaxed family gatherings every Sunday in 2026, with a full schedule from April to December for easy trip planning
Cons
This specific ARAZ Sunday lunch program isn't super well-known internationally, more of a local gem than a must-do like famous brunches in Paris or Rome
The 12% service charge adds a sneaky extra to the bill, making it feel less of a bargain if you're booking for a big family group
Strict 12:00-14:30 window means you gotta time it perfectly around sightseeing or kid meltdowns
Some hearty Hungarian-inspired dishes like meat pies might not wow picky American eaters compared to trendier fusion spots elsewhere
