April Highlights
April 21 kicks off with Budateher Jazz Night: Budapest Bossa Nova, then LFZE Open Jam with the Suke Sándor Trio. On April 22, catch the Szakcsi Jr. Trio, followed by the Wednesday Open Jam led by the Oláh Zoltán Trio. April 23 brings BJC Café Jam with the Balázs József Trio and Szakcsi Rádió Jazz Night: Pankastic!. April 24 turns up the heat: Harmónia Jazzműhely presents the Budapest Jazz Orchestra featuring legendary bassist Chuck Israels, plus a free BJC Jam Session with Nagy Iván Classic Jam. April 25 hosts FIDELIO Jazz Night: Gyémánt Bálint Trio and a free jam with the Pintér Péter Trio. Family time on April 26: Fogi Színház’s Cinderella (Hamupipőke), then CsDP 30! half-band concert. April 27 marks the 1st Béla Szakcsi Lakatos International Jazz Piano Competition.
UNESCO Jazz Day Festival Week
From April 28 to May 3, it’s a festival stretch: Myrtill and the Swinguistique and an LFZE Open Mic on April 28; Random Wednesday on April 29 with Lőrinc Barabás and Anton Silaev (RU). April 30 features the Dániel Szabó Trio with Gábor Juhász plus BJC Café Jam with the Jónás Gézu Trio. May 1: Christian Garrick (UK) & Balázs József Trio and a free all-star jam. May 2: Richárd Révész Latin Quartet with Yulaysi Miranda & Elisabeth Herrera – Son est. May 3: BJC Big Band plays Dave Pell Octet and a free Sunday jam.
May to Autumn
May 9 brings the Studio11 Ensemble with Tibor Kocsis and the MÁV Symphony’s Music – Space – Image: Percussion. Then Bartók Conservatory Jazz Department – Serenade (May 10), Péter Sárik Trio X Bartók (May 11), Nikoletta Szőke Gipsy Queen Live (May 12), Red Stones (May 13), Elemér Balázs Group (May 14), Tacet Jazz Quintet (May 15). Late May: Groovus (May 21), global star CHRIS POTTER TRIO (USA) with Matt Brewer & Kendrick Scott (May 22), Budapest Bossa Nova (May 26), Zita Gereben Quintet (May 27), and Vladimir Cetkar (North Macedonia) on May 30.

August 13–15: Malomvölgy Festival presented by Budapest Jazz Club. November 22 closes with Vilmos Gryllus: Winter Concert. Whether you’re a die-hard jazz fan or just curious, the city’s jazz hub welcomes you with stellar sound, intimate vibes, and a friendly café-bistro atmosphere.
