2026 brings the seventh Boglart Festival to the shores of Lake Balaton, running August 26–30 at Babel Camp, 8630 Balatonboglár (Balatonboglar), Szabadság utca (Szabadsag Street) 28. It’s part festival, part folk-music course, part music-industry forum, plus a showcase platform. Days are for learning; nights light up two stages, then roll into a folk pub dance party until dawn. Boglart blends study, concerts, and the Balaton summer into a tight-knit creative community, standing out on both the Hungarian and international festival map by fusing a music camp with a full festival experience.

Lineup and Daily Rhythm

Freshly announced artists include Belgium’s Enara Navaira, Senegal’s Afrikora, Istria’s Veja, and from Hungary Okos Viola, Obadu, and Góbé (Gobe), the festival’s resident host band. A Boglart signature: many performers also teach by day. Workshops span everything from Moldavian and string-based folk techniques to practical music-industry know-how. Evenings stack up with concerts, then a táncház (tanchaz) dance, and finally a world-music–electronic crossover late into the night.

Showcase, Tickets, Discounts

After last year’s strong response, the showcase block returns, bringing together Hungarian and international professionals for meetings and joint brainstorming. The first performer announcements drop in the second half of November. Until then, festival passes, combo passes, 48-hour tickets, and day tickets are available at very low prices. New discounted tickets are now offered for under-18s, over-64s, and teachers. If you’re also registering for the course or the showcase and qualify for a discount, combine discounted festival passes/day tickets with course passes/day tickets for the best deal. Entry is free for kids under 10. Save the dates: August 26–30, 2026, Balatonboglár (Balatonboglar), Szabadság utca (Szabadsag Street) 28.

2025, adrienne
