Budapest’s Makers’ Market Takes Over Fény Street

Budapest’s Fény Street Makers’ Market and MOME Fair spotlight emerging designers, handcrafted goods, live DJs, and street food—then return May 1 to City Park for a picnic, workshops, and design fair.
when: 2026. April 26., Sunday
where: Hungary, Fény utcai piac

On April 26, the Fény Street Market will host a joint Makers’ Market and MOME Fair, showcasing more than a hundred creators and up-and-coming designers from Budapest, including students from the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design. Visitors can browse fresh contemporary design pieces, meet the makers face-to-face, and pick up their latest work straight from the source. Food and drink stalls will keep the energy up while DJs spin live sets, turning the market into a full-blown creative hangout.

Design, Beats, Bites

Expect a mix of handcrafted goods, experimental objects, and limited runs from young studios, alongside favorite street-food classics and drinks. The vibe is easygoing, chatty, and very Budapest—perfect for discovering new talent and supporting the city’s creative scene.

City Picnic, Round Two

Can’t get enough? Come back on May 1 for the first big city picnic under the City Park (Városliget) trees: daytime blanket lounging, hands-on workshops, a parade of great food trucks, and another design fair. It’s all about connection, momentum, and that spark we love in Budapest.

2025, adrienne
