Balatonboglár hosts the seventh Boglart Festival from August 26–30, 2026, taking over Babel Camp at 8630 Balatonboglár, Szabadság Street (Szabadság utca) 28. It’s part folk and world-music gathering, part intensive music course, and part industry forum and showcase. Days focus on learning; nights light up with back-to-back concerts across two stages, followed by a late-night folkkocsma dance until dawn. The vibe is intimate, summery, and hands-on—more creative lab than mere concert run—and it’s become a vivid outlier on the regional festival scene by fusing camp life with a full-blooded festival experience.
Lineup and late nights
Freshly announced acts include Belgium’s Enara Navaira, Senegal’s Afrikora, Istria’s Veja, plus Hungarian names Okos Viola, Obadu, and resident hosts Góbé. Performers often switch roles by day, stepping in as tutors. Workshops range from Moldavian and string folk techniques to practical music-industry know-how. Each concert evening closes with a táncház, then rolls into a world-music–electronic afterglow.
Showcase returns
After strong feedback last year, the showcase block is back, creating a meeting ground for Hungarian and international professionals to connect and brainstorm. The first wave of artists lands in the second half of November. Until then, passes are on sale at very low prices: festival passes, combo passes, 48-hour tickets, and day tickets.
Tickets and discounts
New discounts apply for under-18s, over-64s, and teachers. If you’re registering for the course or the showcase and also qualify for a discount, combine discounted passes/day tickets with course passes/day tickets to stack savings. Entry is free for children under 10. Dates: August 26–30, 2026. Location: Balatonboglár, Szabadság Street (Szabadság utca) 28.
