A family day out in Gyula just got even cuter. Every Sunday at 11:00, the Almásy Castle rolls out a playful, kid-focused tour led by Count Dénes Dachshund (Gróf Tacskó Dénes)—better known as Dönci, the pup who “knows everything” about the palace. Designed for little explorers, this 45-minute wander keeps the pace gentle and the stories lively, turning history into hands-on fun inside the castle’s most intriguing rooms.
Play, discover, repeat
Children are encouraged to take Dönci in hand and let the pup guide them through the castle’s secrets, weaving tales and pointing out curious details. After the shared walk—essentially a “dog walk” through time—families can circle back on their own to favorite rooms and try the interactive tools that hooked the kids most.
