Siófok rolls into 2026 with back-to-back festivals, concerts, theater, exhibitions, and family programs across multiple venues on Lake Balaton’s south shore. From spring cruises to summer street music, there’s a reason to visit in every season.

Right Now: Late April Highlights

April 27–30 brings Siófok sightseeing cruises, with breezy lake views and an easy way to get your bearings. From April 27 to May 3, an outdoor city-explorer adventure game turns Siófok’s landmarks into a puzzle-packed hunt for families and friends.
On April 29 at 5:00 PM, writer Anikó Sándor presents Falusi Camino (Village Camino) in the BRTK Library auditorium. Free entry. At 6:00 PM the same day, Dance Day explodes into a Tánckavalkád at the Kálmán Imre Cultural Center theater: all 15 of the city’s dance groups share the stage for a high-energy, mixed-genre gala of modern, folk, classical, and contemporary. Tickets: 2,000 HUF (about 5.50 USD).
April 30 at 7:00 PM, the Veszprém Petőfi Theater performs Ferenc Molnár’s Az ördög (The Devil) at the Kálmán Imre Cultural Center. Directed by two-time Jászai Mari Prize winner Péter Benkő, this witty, provocative classic unleashes the Devil to tease out subconscious desires as a fashion-forward painter dares to portray his best friend’s wife. Cast includes Viktor Klem (the Devil), Teodóra Szederjesi (Jolán), Bence Vaszkó (János), Attila Csaba Gaál (László), and others. May Kicks Off with Retro and Laughs

May 1–2, 10:00 AM–10:00 PM, Retro Majális returns to Siófok’s Nagystrand (Great Beach), celebrating the 1980s with iconic performers, stage shows, a street food court, and kids’ activities on the Balaton shore. Wear your best ’80s look—prizes await the most creative and stylish.

May 7 at 7:00 PM, Ne most, drágám! (Not Now, Darling!) storms the Kálmán Imre stage with Veres 1 Színház: love triangles, fur coats, missing garments, and riotous misunderstandings inside London’s poshest fur salon. Late May: Art, Season Start, and Pedals

May 22 sets a mindful pace with Yoga on Deck, plus the opening of István Móczár’s retrospective, Egy vizualista képelő képtelenségei / X. Siófoki Balaton Szalon at the Kálmán Imre Cultural Center, 6:00 PM. Opened by painter Lajos Veszeli, hosted by actor Katalin Karancz. On view until August 14.
May 22–25, Pünkösdi Szezonnyitó lights the fuse on summer: music, lakeside vibes, and community on the shore. May 23: Plázs Hajó Siófok takes the party offshore. May 25–31, cruises and the city adventure game return. May 31 celebrates Children’s Day citywide, including a dedicated kids’ cruise.

June: Paint, Flow, and Street Beats

June 1–7 and 8–14 keep the outdoor city game and cruises in motion. June 6, Ecsetre fel! – 3rd Painting Meetup invites beginners and seasoned artists for a free-form day of color, creativity, and community—bring your brushes and inspiration.
June 15–21 and 22–28 renew the game and cruises. June 19–28, Everness Festival (Everness Fesztivál) brings its holistic, self-discovery energy to town. June 20, the 2nd Street Music Cavalcade (Utcazene Kavalkád) fills urban spots with live street music—fresh talents, veteran players, multiple genres, and come-and-go sets as you wander.
June 26, the BNK (Bódis–Nagy Katinka) Dance Association ignites Kálmán Imre with a summer-pop Balaton show titled How Could I Live Without You?. June 29–July 5, another round of cruises and the city game keeps things lively.

Closing In on Summer Nights

July 1 at 9:00 PM, American Comedy – swing musical (based on Károly Aszlányi’s play) lands on the Kálmán Imre Outdoor Stage, Jókai Park 5, presented by Veres 1 Színház. Cast includes Kata Janza/Horváth Mónika, Kornél Simon, Ádám Bálint, Péter Harna, Ágota Siménfalvy/Fari Mariann, and more. Directed by Károly Peller, with choreography by Bertalan Vári. Set in 1938 aboard the La Paz luxury liner to Monte Carlo, this sharp, jazzy caper pairs a workaholic young businesswoman with a charming rogue amid eccentrics, mistaken identities, and swinging tunes. Duration: 100 minutes plus interval.
Also on May 30, guitar hero Tamás Szekeres plays Across Styles (Stílusokon át) at the Lutheran Church in Oulu Park, 6:00 PM, with the Siófok Art School Children’s Choir and Siófok Women’s Choir. Expect Omega and Omega Oratorio classics alongside Bach and Vivaldi in crossover style. Tickets 3,000 HUF (about 8.20 USD). May 30 also sees the 12th Cofidis Tour de Balaton cycling event rolling through Siófok.
