Late April: Games, history, music, and stage

April 27 kicks off with an April Board Game Night at Ligneum and a lecture titled Loyalty and Deportation. April 28 leans into parenting with (Pre)Teens – What Are They Like Today, and How to Connect Well? and a classical highlight, Kelemen & Ottensamer, tickets about 22 USD. Also on the 28th: a József Kránitz fan meet and Anconai szerelmesek (The Lovers of Ancona) musical comedy, 22–25 USD.
On April 29, a book launch and talk for Felforgatókönyv – a rendszerváltozás forgatókönyve (Subversive Script – the Script of the Regime Change), the compact Shakespeare romp S.Ö.R.Ö.M. May 22 features Lovers Who Kill (Szerelmes gyilkosok), a live true crime talk show with Dr. Tímea Rátkai, plus an ABBA & Boney M. Concert Show. From May 22–24, the Sopron Wine Festival 2026 takes over the city. May 23 rolls out a walk through the Vienna Suburb’s centuries of memories, the 16th Sop-Rock Talent Festival, Without Borders (Határok Nélkül) — Gábor Rakonczay’s tales from extreme challenges, another Giants’ Shoulders tour, and a Bánfalva maypole dance-out and family day.
May 24 adds a Space-Filling downtown walk with wine tasting, and May 25 tours Sopron, the City of Towers. May 27 hosts Naturally Music — harp and marimba concert, with a date change flagged. May 28 returns to the Sopron Brewery tour. May 29 brings Zacher’s World — Poisons and Addictions Without Taboos, and Zorán Tour 2026 at Novomatic Arena, tickets roughly 35–45 USD.

June into July: trails, fairies, and SopronFest

May 30: Mit nem mondok! — stand-up by Ádám Kiss (about 25–31 USD), another Giants’ Shoulders walk, and a gin and tonic tasting and workshop. May 31 rolls out the 33rd Vas-Villa Family Bike Tour.
