Boglart Festival lands on the southern shore of Lake Balaton from August 26–30, 2026, turning Babel Camp (8630 Balatonboglár, Szabadság utca 28) into a buzzing folk and world music hub. It’s a rare hybrid: part festival, part intensive course, part music industry forum and showcase. Days are for learning; nights unfold across two stages before the folk pub (folkkocsma) keeps the dancing going until dawn.
Lineup Highlights
Freshly announced names include Belgium’s Enara Navaira, Senegal’s Afrikora, Istria’s Veja, and Hungarian acts Okos Viola and Obadu, plus resident hosts Góbé. The concert blocks flow into táncház sessions, then slide into world music–electronic after-hours for those with energy to spare.
Learn by Day, Dance by Night
Boglart’s signature twist is that performers often double as daytime teachers. Workshops range from Moldavian and bowed-string folk techniques to practical music industry insights, creating a hands-on pathway from class to stage. It’s an inspiring creative space where study, sound, and the Balaton summer meet in easy harmony.
Showcase and Networking
After last year’s warm reception, the showcase block returns, bringing together Hungarian and international professionals to compare notes and spark collaborations.

Early birds win big: until the first wave of artists drops in the second half of November, festival passes, combined passes, 48-hour tickets, and day tickets are available at very low prices. New discounts apply for under-18s, over-64s, and teachers. If you’re joining the course or the showcase and qualify for a discount, combine discounted festival passes/day tickets with course passes/day tickets for the best deal. Children under 10 enter free.
