Lajosmizse’s City Cultural Center and Library is filling 2026 with concerts, theater, clubs, markets, craft camps, open-air cinema, and summer nights out, welcoming locals and visitors to 12 Szabadság Square (Szabadság tér 12), 6050. Spring Highlights
It kicks off on April 30 with a Zorán concert. From May 1–3, Láss és rajzolj! offers a three-day right- and left-brain drawing course. The popular National Animal and Flea Market (Országos állat- és kirakodóvásár) returns May 3, then again June 7, July 5, August 2 and 30, September 6, October 4, November 1, and December 6. On May 9, Szilvia Agárdi brings Invisible Love (Láthatatlan szeretet), with tickets at about $9.63. The same day: a ceramics club (Kerámia szakkör) and the 16th Caramel and Gingerbread May Day (XVI. Grillázs és Mézeskalács Majális). May 11 features Prof. Dr. Emőke Bagdy on stress and mental balance, tickets around $12.37.
Comedy, Theater, and Clubs
Dumaszínház arrives May 20 with What Could Go Wrong? (Mi bajunk lehet?) by Fruzsina Ács and Balázs Máté Szabó at the City Cultural House—tickets $18.37–$20.57. Family theater comes May 23 with Winnie-the-Pooh (Micimackó) and the folk comedy The Stationmaster’s Hut (Indul a bakterház) at $5.78 and $9.94. Enamel (Tűzzománc) and ceramics clubs meet May 16, 23, 30, and June 6, 13.
Summer Into Winter
June 6 brings VACATION! (VAKÁCIÓ!) by Drámázni ér, followed by the Abigél musical on June 14 and 20. Kids’ Magic Hands (Varázskezek) craft camps run July 13–17 and July 27–31. The 33rd Lajosmizse Days (XXXIII. Lajosmizsei Napok) festival lights up August 28–29. On December 4, TVRTKO – Chernobyl 40 (Csernobil 40) closes the year, tickets about $21.72.
