Sing, sway, and play your way through Wednesday mornings in Balatonfüred. The Gábor Lipták City Library (8230 Balatonfüred, 35 Kossuth Lajos St.) welcomes families to Ringató at 9:15 a.m., a trademarked Hungarian early childhood music program led here by certified facilitator Rita Rábaközi. Babies and toddlers aged 0–3 come with parents or grandparents for gentle lap games, live singing, and hands-on instruments that turn midweek into a musical ritual. Entry is through the small gate on the left, then via the side terrace door. Everyone’s warmly invited.
Why it’s worth showing up every week
These sessions nurture a secure parent–child bond through lap games and quiet, close-up music-making. Little ones meet their own musical mother tongue with a rich, carefully chosen repertoire, live vocals, and real instruments surrounding them. For many, it’s a first shared community experience right beside their mother. Musical skills grow—and that growth ripples out: better emotional intelligence; stronger memory, attention, imagination, and creativity; plus a boost to speech and motor development. Parents feel the lift too, rediscovering the joy of singing together. And the keepsake that lasts a lifetime? A love of music.
