April Highlights

April 30 opens with Deáktanya’s free public lecture series: Ferenc Kardos presents Stories on Protecting Children. Everyone’s welcome, and there’s a chance to join the Kistarcsa Cultural Association (Kistarcsai Kulturális Egyesület).

May: History, Humor, Heritage

On May 7, Attila Szoták revisits the career of Kuno Klebelsberg, a jurist turned MP and cultural politician, briefly interior minister, then for nearly a decade minister of religion and public education, credited with major modernizing reforms.
May 8 brings stand-up: László Lakatos’s solo evening “I’ve Arrived” (Megjöttem) with opener Olivér Wolf at the Comedy Theatre (Dumaszínház) – Csigaház, 6:00–8:00 p.m. Tickets run about 18.0 USD.
May 9 adds a local history walk in the Kistarcsa Cemetery, while May 10 marks a Birth Bench inauguration.
