A lakeside staple is back: the 7th BoglART Festival runs August 26–30, 2026 at Babel Camp, 8630 Balatonboglár, Szabadság Street (Szabadság utca) 28. It’s part intimate folk/world music festival, part hands-on course, part music industry forum and showcase. Days are for learning; nights split across two stages, then stretch into dawn with a folk-pub dance floor and a world-music-meets-electronic afterglow.
Vibe and Format
BoglART is a hybrid: creative camp by day, full-blooded festival by night. It’s not just a string of gigs, but an inspiring space where study, music, and a Balaton summer lock into rare harmony. Year after year it stands out in both Hungarian and international lineups by blending the workshop energy of a music camp with the thrill of a festival.
Artists and Workshops
Freshly announced: Belgium’s Enara Navaira, Senegal’s Afrikora, Istria’s Veja, plus Hungarian names Viola Okos, Obadu, and resident hosts Góbé. A BoglART hallmark: artists double as daytime tutors. Workshops range from Moldavian and string folk techniques to practical music-industry know-how.
Showcase and Networking
After last year’s buzz, the showcase block returns, giving Hungarian and international pros a place to meet and brainstorm. Concert evenings roll into táncház, then late-night global-electronic sessions.
Tickets and Discounts
Early birds get ultra-low prices until the first acts drop in the second half of November. Options include festival and combo passes, 48-hour tickets, and day tickets. New discounts apply for under‑18s, over‑64s, and teachers. If eligible, combine discounted festival passes/day tickets with course or showcase passes/day tickets. Free for kids under 10.
