
The Museum Free University returns to the Gyula Almásy Castle Visitor Center, welcoming anyone curious about local history, archaeology, ethnography, and museology. Alongside experts from the Erkel Ferenc Museum in Gyula, colleagues from the Békés County Archives of the National Archives of Hungary will deliver illustrated talks, opening up their trove of intriguing objects and hard-won knowledge to the public.

Lectures take place at 5 p.m. on the last Wednesday of every month in the Almásy Castle ballroom, and entry is free. The next date is May 27, 2026, at 5700 Gyula, Almásy Castle (Almásy-kastély).
