A seaside folk and world music celebration and hands-on course returns to Balatonboglár from Wednesday, August 26 to Sunday, August 30, 2026, turning Babel Camp (8630 Balatonboglár, Szabadság utca 28.) into a buzzing creative village. Boglart doubles as a festival, folk music course, music industry forum, and showcase: days are for learning, nights for concerts across two stages, then dancing till dawn in the folk pub. It’s a rare blend of camp and festival, where study, music, and the Balaton summer harmonize into a shared community experience that stands out in both Hungarian and international lineups.
Artists, workshops, late-night dances
Freshly announced acts include Belgium’s Enara Navaira, Senegal’s Afrikora, Istria’s Veja, plus Hungary’s Okos Viola, Obadu, and the festival’s host band, Góbé. A Boglart hallmark: performers often teach by day. Workshops range from Moldavian and string folk techniques to practical music industry know-how. Evenings flow from concerts into táncház, then a world-electronic afterglow that keeps feet moving until sunrise.
Showcase returns, tickets on the cheap
After last year’s strong buzz, the showcase block is back, giving Hungarian and international professionals room to meet and brainstorm. First performers arrive in the second half of November, but until then, festival passes, combined passes, 48-hour tickets, and day tickets are on sale at very low prices. New discounts apply for under-18s, over-64s, and teachers.
